Since Thanksgiving is coming, I'm curious!

What are your favorite sides? What's the one side you would be super disappointed over if it weren't on the Thanksgiving table?

Mashed potatoes and gravy from Zach's grandma's magical Puking Chicken!

(That is my future SIL admiring the Puking Chicken last year)

It's like family legend. I love it.

Canned Jellied cranberries, I know I know, how dare I? Sure I can make jellied cranberries, but the cans have the "cut" lines (lol my dad told me that when I was a kid and I believed him! For a couple years anyways ) I also LOVE mashed potatoes yum! This year Im hoping to incorporate honey and lavender gelato omg its amazing! ( as a dessert side hehe)

pecan pie? Not traditionally considered a "side" but pecan pie is appropriate as just about anything in my opinion.

I love me some mashed potatoes, gravy and rolls, I think I’d actually cry, and maybe even through a fit, if it wasn’t on the table!

Stuffing with gravy on it! ( and regular pepperidge farm cubes vs cornbread, if I can get it)

OK...the puking chicken is THE BEST. Where does one go about getting one? That's just great =)

I NEED TO HAVE (no exceptions or substitutions) my mom's corn flake stuffing, my sweet corn casserole, green and black olives, my mom's salad with homemade Italian dressing, and my sister's homemade mashed potatoes with gravy. For dessert, my sister's homemade apple pie and my homemade pumpkin pie. (And none of us are good cooks but this crap all comes together on Thanksgiving!!!)

This year we are going to watch my son march in Detroit's nationally televised parade with his marching band...and DH just told me Jessica won't be able to handle life without a nap, so him and her are skipping Thanksgiving dinner. I'm crushed that Jessica won't be there...but if SHE isn't there, I can eat...and sleep, too. Yes. I can eat the food I NEED! He wanted to skip altogether but Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday AND I MUST PARTAKE!

Home made cranberry sauce and vegan gravy. The rest can suck it. Gimme my cranberry sauce and vegan gravy. Just got back from the store with my $6 vanilla bean to stick in my cranberry sauce. I serve mashed potatoes for the sole purpose of making a little bowl to put my vegan gravy in. OMG I CAN'T WAIT FOR VEGAN GRAVY. I'm not even vegan. Its THAT good.

Loaded stuffing, pumpkin pie, and mashed potatoes. Oh my gosh, if there aren't mashed potatoes this year I will cry at the table. I'm not kidding. I NEED mashed potatoes right now.

I'm not sure of the Puking Chicken's origins, maybe I'll try to ask this year. From what I've heard, it's one of those family things that has just always been there. We all love it though! I'll try to take a new picture of the Puking Chicken this year.

I have to have cranberry jello salad. It is the best part of Thanksgiving.

Also mashed potatoes with corn and gravy on top, chicken and dressing with giblet gravy, and sweet potato casserole.
