What's for dinner? Making anything special for NYE?

With being sick, I've been terrible at doing any sort of organized grocery shopping so I had no special menu planned. Pretty much I've been rummaging through the freezer/pantry for meals over the past few days. I ended up making something jambalaya-ish only it was lacking bell pepper (which everyone hates except me anyways) and shrimp. It did include sausage and leftover roasted chicken. It came out tasty but I did make it a bit on the spicy side. While I have NOTHING against the taste of spice, I'm sure heartburn is just around the corner.

I'm off to find my Tums.

I made crescent roll taco bake. It, uh, looked interesting when I was done - not like the picture. Lol. But, it tasted great!

I made a spinach salad for everyone. DH put left over steak on his and DS got leftover shrimp from my lunch order today. I made egg drop soup and crescent rolls to go with it. DS actually put bell peppers and shrimp in his soup, so yay for being adventurous.

We were supposed to cook a turkey today but the stupid thing hasn't thawed out yet, so we went for take out burgers instead. Hopefully, the bird will be ready to go for tomorrow.

All these responses are making me super hungry. We aren't doing anything special tonight so I had some left over split pea soup that my MIL brought over. Honestly, it was not very fulfilling lol. Now that DH has left for work I am seriously considering going out for some yummy take out.

Nothing fancy. Just meatloaf/mashed potatoes/mixed veggies…I don't eat or make meatloaf that often so the kids pretty much wolf it down when I do, so its all gone. No leftovers for tomorrow. Boo.
