So starting at the ZON office heartrate was 167. When I first got my doppler it was measuring baby 's heartrate the same for the next week or so. On Christmas Day I got out the doppler to let everyone listen and it was averaging about 143. Now of yeasterday it is the same, 143 or lower. Would it really drop that much in a week or is my doppler starting to measure low? The battery is still measuring full. Just kind of makes me worried

I wouldn't worry unless it gets way low. My lil ones heartbeat goes all over the place. Probably cause they are moving around and then sleeping an relaxed. Try not to worry.

My u/s at 6 weeks showed 130. The doc didn't tell me at 10 weeks. I've been using a Doppler at home since Christmas and it's usually been between 117 and the 130s. Once it was 157.

It does range and can be different for every baby, I wouldnt worry until it dropped into the lower teens. 115 or lower. 140 is totally normal when they are resting. This one was in the 150s, but my other two ranged from 140s to 160s, and luke may have gtten into the 130s a few times.

Nope, I wouldn't worry at all with that number! My girl is always all over the place. Last night when I was feeling flutters I checked, it was 159. This morning she was 141. I think she's sleeping It seems to be higher when she's moving and active (which makes sense). So my guess is that's why you had the variation, too.

I agree, I wouldn't worry either.

My doctor told me the baby's heart rate isn't regulated until much closer to birth. As long as the heart rate is over 120 it should be ok (as others said, the changes are often from it sleeping vs playing).

I don't own a doppler (mainly because I can see myself getting paranoid with one if I were to miscuse it) - but I know when I went for my ultrasound vs for my checkup a few days apart the difference was around 15 or so, which is why I asked him.

I agree with the other ladies, the baby could be sleeping and then the heart rate does go down to about that range as the baby gets older. My baby's heart rate was in the 160's (or maybe 170's, I would have to go back and look) and then is now in the 150's-upper 140's range.

My U/S all measured 150-160's and when I went in for my 17w appt, it was down to 140. My midwife assured me at this point, 110-160 is normal, and that usually 150-160 means that the baby is moving more/you ingested something sugary. So 140 is completely normal and strong for now

They've already said it, but it's totally normal. The range will vary anyway, but as the baby grows, the heart rate will gradually slow. My girl's was 170 at 8wks, 160 at 12wks, and in the low-mid 150s at her scan this weekend at 16wks. Don't stress too much over it.
