I would just register at both and give both lists to both guest lists...and I think I need to work the word "both" into this post one more time

I registered at two places because I like different things from both places. There are some items that are the same that I wouldn't mind getting duplicates of or one place might have that item on sale later, or someone might have a coupon to one place. So... Send out both lists to both groups.

Do both lists for both parties. You can always put "gift cards" welcomed on the registry as well.

I registered at two places (Amazon & BRU) and have a lot of overlapping items. Provided both sets of information to people so they could use the store that was most convenient to them. I just check and delete from the other registry when something is purchased. So I would definitely say both.
