My mom bought us our Travel System this weekend - it wasn't the one we initially had asked for, it is much better (the Britax - B-Agile Travel System in Black)! I am very excited about it. We will put it together early next month I think, so that we can play with it (lots to learn) - I am keeping it in the box for now in the hopes that the price will drop and we can price match (it was more than we had wanted my mom to spend, and I do see strollers on sale at Babies-r-us every other week).
I have also been registry stalking and noticed a couple of key items have just been purchased from it...the baby bjorn carrier and baby bath tub...I don't know when my Shower is, but given the above I assume it is in the next couple of weeks.
So exciting! My DH's niece has that stroller travel system on her registry - thankfully some one has bought it for her (I suspect her mom as well!)
My boss just bought us the ErgoBaby carrier that was on my registry so besides some cutesy receiving blankets a couple stroller accessories that we won't need until GingerBean is bigger, everything important on our registry has been purchased (most by us ourselves, but some by others and some items I bought when I exchanged duplicate, unnecessary items from others )
I still have to buy all my breastfeeding supplies (storage bags, bottles, pump, etc.) but I *think* my work will be giving me some sort of gift certificate so I am hoping that will cover the majority of that cost. Plus, DH's insurance will pay $100 towards the pump providing I have a note from my doctor saying it's "medically neessary" and not just for convenience. My doctor is awesome so I know he'll give me that note no problem
Make sure you get someone who is remotely talented with a camera to take pictures of your shower...add to my shower disappointment the crap-quality of all the photos I've managed to get my hands on
