We thought we found the perfect house. We went to see it on Saturday and both DH and I fell in love with it. The guy was talking about getting the lease set up and that he would e-mail me on Sunday. I didnt get an e-mail Sunday, so i e-mailed him yesterday asking how things were going. Well I finally get an e-mail back today and hes talking about wanting to try and sell it! We dont have the credit to buy the house so we might be screwed! I sent an e-mail back asking about leasing to own but I havnt gotten a responce back. We have to be out in like a month and I cant seem to find anything else in our price range. I just want to pull me hair out!
I got a letter the other day about calling a surgen for Qwyn's neck. I went to call and get an app set up and the insurance company messed up Qwyn's primary doc and we cant get a refural for there untill I get his doc changed. When I called the insurance company they said it could take up to a week to get it changed! I want to get into the doc NOW not have to sit and wait b.c the insurance company messed up. On top of that Dh and I noticed when you put Qwyn under toys he only plays and looks at the ones on his left side and doesnt even bother with the ones on the right side... which kind of scares me. I know he sees them but he will not turn his head to the right to look at them.
To top it off our ratiater blew on Saturday! So we have to spend LOTS of money we dont have to fix it. GRRR.
Im just going to scream or cry or both! *sigh* venting did help tho lol. If you made it this far thanks alot!
Hes got what they call Torticallis (sp) where the muscle on the left side of his neck is really tight and pulls his head that way. Its starting to mess up his jaw and his eyes arnt center. He prolly wont have to have surgry on it but we still r meeting with a surgen to weigh out our options. Hopefully its just physical therpy for him.
Oh, I understand, so he isn't looking toward the right either... wonderful, TG it's not to serious, but anything with our little babies is hard to go through, I completely understand!!! Please keep me posted!!!
I know I'm totally new to this board but I just want to offer some It sounds like you have a lot to deal with right now. I hope things will start looking up for you soon!
Sometimes when it rains it pours! I feel like I've been standing in the middle of a typhoon for a while now! I am sorry that all this happening all at once... I really hope that things settle down quickly... Just take a deeps breath and take it one day at a time...
Please keep us posted on Qwynn and how he is doing... I bet physical therapy will be effective... Lots of exercises to loosen up those pesky muscles!
I can chime in about the Torticollis as Parker has it as well.... how old is your little guy?? (if it's in your ticker please forgive me as they are blocked while I am at work)
There are two scenarios with Tort...one is if they are born with it and another would be if they developed it later on in infancy sometimes from carseat/bouncy seats ect.
Parker was born with it from being in a mess of a position in my belly from July to Nov...... we got him into therapy at 4weeks old.... the therapist said she would have liked to have seen him as early as 2 weeks. We work with All Childrens Hospital for his therapy but also have a good freind who is an indenpendant therapist for pediatrics...and alot of ped's dont realize that these therapists want to see them VERY early.....so I would encourage you to PUSH PUSH PUSH to get him into a therapy evaluation asap.....your pediatrician can write you a script to see one.
Parker has been going twice a week for 30 minute sessions (which is a toll on us as we both work full time) but we noticed right away that he way delayed on things like holding his head up while on his tummy ect....... if you look at the pictures of him in my siggy you'll see his neck has a tilt to it.....therapy for him is painful/uncomfortable and we have excersises to do with him every night to work on his neck. The therapist told me she is heartbroken to see an older child come in bc they fight her in therapy and it is sooo much harder to get that muscle to loosen up. We have done a few things with him at home that have made a HUGE impact and I am happy to say that this week his therapy has been reduced down to once a week and the therapist has said Parker is her fastest progressing patient who was born with such a severe case.

Quinn was Torticollis too, was diagnosed at about 4 months old. We just had to attend PT for a couple months and it cleared right up. He was born with it as well. I hope things start looking up for you.
Qwyn is 11 weeks today and was born with it. My DD had it when she was a baby but we did the PT with her and it cleared up. So we have been doing them with Qwyn but its just not doing a darn thing and its getting worst =(. Ill deff keep yall updated on him. thanks so much for yalls support it means alot!
Hugs! It all seems to come at once. My DD that passed had Torticollis also. Hers was due to her hydrocephalous and the weight of her head. We did PT on it which was very painful for her because she was about 2 when it was treated. We were given the option of botox injections on her neck when they PT wasn't working. We never were able to do them because she passed away before we got to that point but when we researched it it had very good results.
GL KUP!
__________________ Thanks claire1979 for my awsome siggy! I have learned alot over the years but the best thing I have learned is I love... sloppy baby kisses, messy handed hugs, tooth paste pictures drawn for me on the mirror, that a dandylion bouquet is prettier then roses anyday and most of all I have learned there is no love like that of a child!!
One thing to try - it's not an instant fix but the PT said it was surely the thing that made Parkers neck get so much better was the way we held him.... when DH or I hold him we put his back to our chest and support him under his legs....in doing this he is constantly working his neck and struggling to keep himself level....we started doing it to help and now just do it out of habit.
