BG 3.0 vs. BG AIO? How alike are they? We have a few of the BG 3.0 and I really like them, however I was wanting to try the BG AIO. Are they as nice of a fit as the BG 3.0? I would like to try the BG AIO Organic One Size, but don't really want to spend $25.00 on one diaper, so I was thinking I might try the BG AIO first but wanted to hear some opinions. Thanks in advance!

The insert on the AIO is less absorbant (thinner) than the One-Size insert in the 3.0...... that being said the AIO's are stuffable so you could always add more.
I have both..... I use my AIO's only during the day - they would never hold during the night for us.
I dont have the organic ones so I cant comment on those... the AIO's are trimmer than the 3.0s bc of this....I'd honestly suggest one of each
ETA: the 3.0's are One Size which makes them a little better IMO - but then so are the organic AIO's (not the regulars) but then they are twice the price.....so it's a toss up.

We have mostly BG 3.0s but have tried the BG AIOs and just recently got one of the organic AIOs.
I agree that the AIOs are less absorbant, but trimmer. I found if I didn't change her soon enough, she would soak it, and leak right through. Eventually I sold it, because it seemed like it was happening almost everytime she wore it.
My oldest (2.5 years old) wore the organic AIO today for several hours without a problem. My 2 month old has worn it once too, and it did well. It's almost as trim as our 3.0s with the newborn insert, and definitely trimmer than with the OS insert. If my 2 year old can wear it for several hours too, it obviously can hold a lot. I've only used it a few times, but I really like it.
I'd reccomend the pocket over the AIO, because it's cheaper, since you don't have to buy several sizes and holds more without adding absorbancy. Maybe get a few of each though, I always like having a trim cloth diaper to wear under jeans. If you are willing to spend a little extra, get a few of the organic ones too. Pricey, but they are worth it!

I haven't tried the AIOs but I have tried other AIOs, what I have experienced is that AIOs are more trim and easier but they take longer to dry. I love my BG 3.0 pockets, they are so far my favourite dipes.
Huge thanks to *Kiliki* for the FANTABULOUS new siggy!!
I like the pockets better. I have 3 of the organic AIOs, amd it seems harder to get a nice fit because if you have a smaller baby you have to fold the soaker, and make sure it is nice and flat otherwise it looks clumpy, with an older baby though it might be different. I have also had the AIOs leak during the night time. Another thing with AIO's I have noticed after you put them on you have to check the leg holes because sometimes they curl outward and part of the soaker will stick out causing them to leak that way. Sorry if that didn't make any sense, I was trying to word that as best as possible! But, I just started CDing and I ordered 3 of the AIOs and 2 of the 3.0s (thinking I would like the AIOs better), and it turned out I like the 3.0s better, and I just ordered 12 more of them!
It's preference and per child... Sawyer can go overnight in the AIO ... we have a GREAT fit on them. They're more trim then the BG's o/s. They are nice and absorbant. Sawyer wets tOO much for the infant soaker on the BG's, but the full size is so big on him still ...
If I were you, i'd try both, and see what works best for you, every baby is different
We actually prefer the Organic AIO, but that has to do a lot with sensitivity issues with DS..he is allergic to synthetic fabrics so the suedecloth bothered his skin and made him rashy. The absorbency has worked fine for us with the AIO and I plan on getting more for daycare. I have added a babykicks hemp insert to increase absorbency without adding too much bulk during the times I know he wets more.
