So I just sold a bunch of stuff and so I have purchased a few Goodmamas on Diaperswappers. I sent in my money last Monday for this one diaper, and I've been really antsy to get it. So I found it odd when I was receiving a few things that I purchased AFTER I bought that particular diaper. I PMed her on DS last night, and this morning, I get a message that says that she sent it out on Friday. I know that certain people have particular shipping days, but mostly, those people have that info in their signature line on DS or will tell you up front. I don't know... I'm not really ticked about it, I'm just kind of like Why would you not let someone know that it was going to be 4-5 days before you shipped something? To me, that doesn't make much sense!

Am I totally off base here or what? I don't honestly care WHEN you ship something as long as you let me know!

I do a lot of eBay and am thinking about Etsy. I always tell people in my listing when I'll ship, and if something comes up that requires I ship later, I send them an email explaining.

I always let people know I have 2-4 day window for shipping this way I cover myself... I usually end up getting it out the next day, but always let people know... I think it is just a respect thing...

Absolutely! Me too! I actually have two things to ship that I said I would ship yesterday (they were purchased over the weekend), and I feel bad b/c I didn't get them out yesterday. Geez.

That is irritating! Not so much that it took her 4 days to ship but that she didn't let you know. I don't ship a lot of things but when I do, if I don't ship that day or the very next (depending on the time of day), I immediately send a pm or email telling them this. It is just common courtesy.

I always ship within 24 hours and if I can't, I always let the buyer know.

I got the diaper today.

Would have been nice to let me know, though!

I expect notice if they are not mailing within 48 hours. Just polite, IMO.

I always inform someone that it may be a few days.. and then I let them know WHEN it got shipped out.. I just think it's common courtesy to do so..

Glad you got your dipe tho

Ugh that would tick me off too. I had a similar thing happen with a diaper I bought on Spots last week. They printed the PP shipping label so I got a notice but it was like 5 days before they actually shipped it. I didn't even think to check the tracking # until I started getting other things that had shipped after I got the PP shipping notice and it had JUST left the sender.

Yes! That's why I thought to check, because I ordered a Piddle Poddle and got it yesterday, so I was wondering what was up with this dipe. I know I'm very impatient, but in my defense, I *am* moving soon, so I don't want to be waiting around too long for these dipes. So no more ordering for me.... until we get to CT.
