so ALOT of people seem to hate the name we've picked out if were having a boy, so i wanted to get some more imput. not that it really matters but theres got to be more people that will like it.

if we have a boy his name will be Brogan Ray.

and if its a girl it will be Jacey Ray.

This is my take on it. It is your baby and therefore you pick the name. If others don't like the name that's their problem. I got a lot of grief about
my baby name (my oldest, her name is Phoenix) and I didn't care. I like the name you picked, but I'm really into unique names. I'm sorry you're getting negative responses. I didn't tell anyone the name we choose (IRL) for this reason with my second, I thought that once the child was named what can they say.

I like the names but I am into unique names. As long as you like it that is all that matters.

I have learned alot over the years but the best thing I have learned is I love... sloppy baby kisses, messy handed hugs, tooth paste pictures drawn for me on the mirror, that a dandylion bouquet is prettier then roses anyday and most of all I have learned there is no love like that of a child!!

I'm personally not a fan of them... but it's not my kid. Your kid, your choice!

Lots and LOTS of people don't like our name choices... but it doesn't bother me any. My kids, not their's ya know?

well it wouldn't bother except someone said "if i see him i'm gonna call him Bro-Tard" that's just a little to far IMO. if people say that names not for me or i don't like it. okay. but to say something like that is so beyond rude.

I like both names.

They're not my style. But I like them for someone else's child.

That is a REALLY mean thing to say!!!

With that being said.. ITA, that it's YOUR child YOUR choice!!
Everyone on Dh's side of the family except for my SIL/BIL aren't big fans of either of our boys names... and whoooooooo caaares!!!

Brogan is definetly different, but not completely OUT there either!

We don't share names until they're born either .. at least that's how it's been since the first one

I wasn't keen on the name but it's grown on me just in the time it's taken to read through this thread

I know it's difficult to deal with people being so rude but I say stick to your guns!

Brogan is different, not exactly my style, but that is not the point. It is YOUR baby, and it is your choice. I think people need to learn how to be tactful, or just keep their mouths shut!!!

We don't share names (not that we even have one yet) until the baby is here... People are less likely to make a rude comment once the baby already has the name....

not my style, I can think of too many "teases" for it. But it's not totally horrible. If you like it, go for it. If he doesn't like it when he grows up he can change it.
