This is the second diaper rash she's gotten in 2 weeks...first time we've ever had them, so I'm thinking it may be related? The first one was just a little red and was treated easily enough with California Baby cream. This one has just a hint of shininess to it, so I'm thinking it may be yeast. Any recommendations on how to treat? I just received the California Diaper Area wash spray in the mail today and am planning on incorporating that in every diaper change by misting her after cleaning and letting it dry a bit before putting the new diaper on. Has anyone else tried this? I've read that both of those california baby products have antibacterial and antifungal...so I'm hoping this will limit the number of rashes in the future.

She's only in cloth and she is fed exclusively pumped breastmilk.

Poor little one. I wish I knew what to do to keep this from happening. She gets changed every 2 hours, so I'd hope that's not what's doing it

Ginny - I am not sure what type of rash Allie might have, unfortunately. But, I can tell you that with CD'ing Devan, I change him every hour to keep him from sitting in his wet diaper. With cloth, the baby needs to be changed more often than when in a disposable diaper so this could maybe be causing her rash?

As for a diaper cream that I love - I use Baby Bottom Salve from All Natural Creations. It works great and hasn't stained our CDs either. When Devan has a hint of redness on his tush, this seems to clear it up immediately.

I hope Allie's rash clears up soon.

Wow, every hour? I just don't know if I can convince MIL to do that, unfortunately. She's in pockets and if I feel a wet diaper it doesn't feel damp against the skin, but of course that doesn't mean there isn't a little something there.

Last night I had her naked for a couple of hours prior to bedtime and really slathered on the diaper cream and spray. This morning it looks soooo much better. It's gone from a very angry red (I even saw a welt or 2 after her peeing while lying down on the mat without a diaper on) to pink this morning. Hopefully it'll clear up soon if we keep on it.

So far I'm liking the California baby line. The cream is somewhat expensive, so I'd like to get away from putting that on with every diaper change (after this clears up of course). That's why I bought the diaper wash, since it also states that it's soothing and has antibacterial/fungal properties. Has anyone use the non-talc powder? I've never used any type of powder on her since I've read that it can cause lung issues...but wasn't sure if this would since it's not talc. Any opinions on it?

Oh, I forgot to add I think was prefaced this rash was that she had some diarrhea for 2 days over the weekend.
