I've been out of the JM loop for a while - the neighbor didn't pay their DSL bill a while back, so I haven't been able to steal internet from them in a long time. Luckily, another neighbor has a non-secure connection, and this is the first time I've been able to get a strong enough signal to use it!

Stinks, though - GCDH isn't an option without good interwebs.
Lately, I've been struggling with my decision to cloth diaper. Since we moved to the new apartment in September, CD'ing has been SO HARD! We don't have a w/d hookup, so I've got the washing machine hooked into the sink... But there's issues with the washer, so I have to stay right next to it through the entire wash process, which usually takes me about an hour. During that time, I have to gate the kitchen so Caitie can't play with the hoses, and she gets SO mad... And I get all depressed 'cause she's mad... Plus, our landlords don't allow us to dry clothes outside, so all I have is one little drying rack stuck in front of the heater (which is supposed to heat the whole house, so upstairs gets REALLY cold when I've got diapers drying). It's been a total hassle, especially because the only time I can really use the washer is around dinnertime, so dinner's always late on washday. (We're not supposed to have the washer, and it's the only time of the day where the washer's noise isn't obvious to the neighbors.) We started putting Caitie into disposables for nighttime, because she was leaking through everything I tried. Now, we're putting her in them more and more. It's the middle of the afternoon and she's in a sposie right now. I hate it, and it makes me feel like a failure, but I'm so tired of the ridiculous hassle of washing diapers! If we had w/d hookup and a fully functional washer, I'd have her in cloth full-time no problem... Ugh.
PLUS... Four of my Fuzzibunz one-size diapers delaminated! They weren't even older ones. They were "in the middle" ones - about 5-6 months old. I cried when I found the first one, but now I'm resigned to using bumGenius again. I love Fuzzibunz one-size, but I'm not going to use them anymore if they're gonna give me problems like this.
But yeah. I'm still really happy to be able to visit this board again - pictures of adorable little kiddos in cloth always make me smile.
