I am buying a snap press from here: The Snap Store and they give you a choice of different dye sets and I dont know which ones to get. I want to be able to do my own cloth diapers (fix them not make them) and need to know which size I need for that.

I would love any help! Thanks!

Size 20 is used on diapers about 99% of the time, I have size 16 too and I have never used them.

Def 20's maybe some 16's...that's all I've ever used to fix or add snaps to mine with. HTH...are you getting the big snap-press or the snap pliers? If you are just wanting it to fix diapers and or add snaps to diapers, the pliers works great and is much cheaper.

I was hoping to do several things with it. I have some bibs where the velcro has gone bad and was thinking it would be awesome to use snaps instead. There is a jacket I was given that is missing the key part that zips it up and I could remove the zipper and just add snaps. Then there are the diapers and whatnot. So I was thinking a press would work better?

Do you mean the Starter package with a 3 piece die set? Because that doesn't mean 3 different sizes, it means the 3 pieces needed for one size snap - for example, to do size 20 snaps, you need a size 20 cap die, a size 20 stud die and a size 20 socket die.
I would get the 20's.

I have a press and got the 20 and 16 dies. 20 is the size on most dipes. I converted some of my BGs with that size. I added snap in soakers to some of my fitteds and used the 16 for that, but the 20s would have been fine, I just didn't get any 20s in white but I had white 16s. I also used 16s for converting some of the baby's button clothing to snap, and like you said, I took the velcro off our bibs and I used size 20 snaps for those. I used 20s to add wing snaps to my MEOS. I've replaced some of my kids' pants buttons with size 20 snaps, they are easier for them to dress themselves, especially my toddler. I added snaps to hand towels so they stay on the towel rod when my kids dry their hands and don't end up in a heap on the floor. I added snaps closures to cloth shopping bags. Hmmm, lots more I just can't think of right now. I have actually used my snap press quite a bit, it was well worth it to me. You'll have fun!

Oh! I LOVE the towel idea! My towels always end up on the floor and it drives me buggy!

Thanks for the info on the starter kit, I really appreciate it and yes thats what I meant with the starter kit I am so excited to get using it!
