Did you decide you were going to CD?

I started CD when I was pregnant the first time.. didn't have alot of money and this was one way to help both my pocketbook and the earth now I do it for those reasons and the fact that they are sooo much cuter than disposables..

Years ago, before we decided to have kids I had a friend stay with us who was CD'ing. They are great budget-conscious, earth-friendly parents, and talked about how easy and inexpensive CD'ing was. I was sold immediately.

When I realized it was a viable option for diapering (when Liam was about 10 months old). I just had never put any thought into it before and then someone mentioned it to me and I started off on my research about it...and jumped in with both feet!

I'm not sure I ever decided? I just always knew? I mean, it wasn't a conscious decision. I can't remember ever thinking about using disposables, even as a kid thinking about having babies.

With dd I really wanted to; we lived with my patents so I guess that's one of the reasons I never followed through with it. When I became pregnant this time there wasn't really a question as to not doing it--DH was a little standoffish (this weekend he posted some great stats about landfills and disposable diapers lol so I would say hea converted)

About 3-4 years before Peter was even born. It helped me cope with my losses to plan for our future child, and I came across it. I thought it was a great idea. I would put together different stashes in online shopping carts, to price them out. I know, I am pretty lame!

I think DS was five or six months old when we started.
