Have you ever stabbed baby with a pin when pinning??


I've been loving pinning my prefolds and snapless fitteds, I am always worried I am going to poke him. Havent yet.

It is something I am careful of, for sure. I just always angle the pin away from her whenever possible and always keep my finger or hand in between her and the tip. I have stabbed myself a couple times I should have practiced my pinning more when she was tiny and feeble. I am not quick enough with it now and she is too strong and crazy lol.

The last time I pinned something on her, she was REALLY wild and I came really close to stabbing her when she flailed and made a sudden grab towards her general diaper area, I had to get a very serious tone with her!! I have not tried it since then. She is a huge PITA on the changing pad these days and I am only doing aplix one-step things like AIOs or Flips, or pull-on fitteds.

I think I barely poked Kaiden one time, I know DH has gotten him once. I've gotten stabbed a few times but not for a long time. I'm super quick with it now and can even pin when he's throwing a flailing kicking screaming temper tantrum during diaper changes

I've gotten Max twice. Once when he was tiny and felt awful! And once when he was bigger and was flailing around and I only felt a little bad I used to pin myself a ton, but I've gotten a lot better since then. I don't think I've had any pinning accidents in months.

Only person I've ever stabbed has been myself.. I guess as long as you get a feel for how many layers of fabric the pin is going through, you shouldn't have any accidents

Nah. I only used pins for a short time. But I really was not that good at it so I gave up. I stabbed myself several times and got irritated trying a few times and just picked a different diaper. My kid is a terror to change and has been for a year...so pins are not our thing. But I never actually got him with one. Although...it might solve some of our diapering issues NOW if he just got a quick poke (I am kidding, mostly)

No, but I got her a little with a Snappi one of my first times using one. It left a little mark but nothing major. I felt awful though. I stab myself with pins and the Snappi all the time though

Never with a pin from a diaper.. lol j/k

I have pinched them a few times grabbing the snap closest to the legs. RJ tells me at least once at night when I am putting his night diaper on "don't pinch me mama!"
