We are constantly on here talking about poop and diapers and private parts of our children...so it seems it might be nice to know a little about the people we are talking with daily

So tell us something. What is your guilty pleasure? Your favorite food? Type of movie? Style of clothing? Personality quirks? What shows are on your DVR? Pet peeves? Type of music? Ways to relax? Family life? Anything and everything you want to tell folks. It would be nice to get a feel for you mamas and what makes you tick

random tid bit - I have a huge crush on that blue wiggle (anthony) like darn he is hott, if i had a freebie oh man. Also Chandler Bing, no not Matthew Perry, I love Chandler Bing, im sad hes not real

my fave food is anything sweet/chocolate. I have 2 kids (so far) and plan to have 2 more, I love Big Brother and Survivor, also Dexter, Weeds and Greys. And im a TLC anf Food network junkie. Im Bilingual and I can say my alphabet backwards, I play 5 instruments (not all of them well)

My pet peeve is lateness/not doing what you say you will do, and people who wear socks in sandals. Im just as random and crazy in real life as you think i am I watch Arthur everyday at 1, even though thats nap time

Right now im a stay at home mom and i love every minute of it, but someday id love to go to school and become a doula, midwife or L&D nurse (though this would be many many years in the future, when all my kids are in middle/highschool)

What is your guilty pleasure? Probably JM, DS and reading about CDs also, Reddit. I am a bit internet addicted. I can stop whenever I want, I just don't want to
Your favorite food? Maybe burritos. Or tacos. I love fresh California style Mexican food.
Style of clothing? Anything comfortable My favorite pants are long flares that look like work-appropriate trousers but feel like pajamas and have an elastic waist.
Personality quirks? I have a rather bizarro sense of humor. I think possibly the meaning of life lies in recognizing and appreciating how absurd everything is, and being amused by that.
What shows are on your DVR? Don't have it, but we like Portlandia on on demand, even though it isn't always funny. I also like Top Chef and Project Runway. And Star Trek, but only The Next Generation.
Pet peeves? Pseudoscience/bad science, and fear mongering, and snake oil advocates. Sometimes I wish I lived in a Star Trek like future where everyone was more rational.
Type of music? Eclectic, but I love Johnny Cash and Simon & Garfunkel.
Ways to relax? Lately, long hot showers I also love getting out in nature when it is nice outside, and I used to be way into yoga and meditation. Hoping to get back to that at some point.

I spent most of my life being an overachiever at school. Then I met DH, realized I was miserable, quit my PhD program, and now I just want babies and more babies at some point I might want to work again, or write a book or something, but not for awhile. Books I want to write someday:
- an ironic self help book, inspired by my old roommate's book on how to run faster. (in a nutshell: run, but this time, try to run a bit faster.)
- a book for moms on what NOT to be scared of (debunking some of the myths out there, it seems like every idiot wannabe journalist writes an article about something new for moms to worry about, but most of it is total crap) (I am also afraid to write this because it will make me so pissed off the whole time lol)
- young adult sci fi novel

I enjoy reading people's posts on this

Awesome idea, Ashlee!

What is your guilty pleasure? JM, cupcakes, reading Percy Jackson books
Your favorite food? All of it! I'm not picky!
Type of movie? Science Fiction or comedy or anything with Mark Wahlberg
Style of clothing? I have to dress up for work, and that's okay. I'd much prefer jeans and tshirts or sweatshirts though.
Personality quirks? My whole personality is a big giant quirk I'm a physicist, so I'm pretty dorky. I'm passionate about a lot of things, and I can be opinionated. I also like to be liked, so I try really hard to be respectful of others. I work in Nuclear Energy, which is one of my passions. I think it's so important for our future. I'm a huge environmentalist and local economist. I'm also very politically conservative. And I'm a huge geek, I love to cook and bake, and I'm a skier!
What shows are on your DVR? I don't have DVR or any TV accept Netflix, but I love to watch Big Bang Theory and Modern Family online. I like Dr. Who. My favorite show is Gilmore Girls, so I have all 7 seasons on DVD.
Pet peeves? Invented words in professional conversation. When people get angry instead of getting educated. Misguided politcal campaign ads.
Type of music? Country and Christian
Ways to relax? Computer time, yoga, reading
Family life? Me and Max My parents and brother and his wife are all back in MI, and we really miss them.

What is your guilty pleasure? JM! and Feta cheese.. nom
Your favorite food? I love tomatoey Italian dishes.. I love feta cheese (lol), I have a weakness for potato chips/crisps, my favourite dish is my Dad's lasagne
Type of movie? Romantic comedy is probably my usual genre, but I love horror & thrillers, I love dramas.. Anything really
Style of clothing? Jeans & a t-shirt
Personality quirks? I have a very dirty mind... say something, I'll find something dirty in it. I have a very warped sense of humour - which my Dad & sister also share - I wonder how Mum is still sane
What shows are on your DVR? No DVR.. but my favourite shows are the Big Bang Theory, 2 & a Half Men, Desperate Housewives, Greys Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, Outrageous Fortune, Shortland Street, Home and Away, MASH, Go Girls.... Yea.. I watch a lot of TV at night
Pet peeves? CRUMBS IN THE BED.
Type of music? A little of everything
Ways to relax? going online, reading, cooking, being a goofball with the kids
Family life? At home it's Gaby, Emmy & myself... I have 1 sister (25) who has 1 DD (Bronte, almost 1) & 1 DS (Brodie, who passed away in 2004) - she's engaged... My parents are about to celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary... & I have a girlfriend - she has 2 kids.

These are always hard for me because I am constantly changing my mind, so I may say I like something, then later say I don't like it and people are like "but you said you loved it before, you must be lying." I'm an avid crafter and have bins full of ufos. Some would say I'm shy but really, I'm just reserved, lol. I tend to put my foot in my mouth so I've learned to just be quiet.

When I was a kid, I was really sick. I was told I should never have kids. When I got married, I was told if I was going to have any kids, I should hurry while I was young. Maybe we took that too literally.

I love old movies, especially musicals. I listen to alternative music. I've read all the Twilight books but my favorite book is Ender's Game. I watch murder mystery shows and dvr Leverage, Criminal Minds and Doctor Who. Right now we have been watching The I.T. Guys on Netflix. My dh and I are both computer geeks so that show just cracks me up.

I breast feed, baby wear, co-sleep, and CD but don't consider myself crunchy, just lazy, lol. I guess that's it for now, at least until I change my mind.

These are great! I am learning a lot about you ladies I never would have known

About me...I am super social and outgoing. But I love the adult social group...I hated and never went to parties when I was younger. I love, love, love educated debates. But sadly, most people can not have educated debates because feelings get hurt and people (uhm, DH) think they are always right and fail to see a good debate forum for what it is worth.

I hate bathroom vent fans. You know, the ones that usually come on when you turn on the light in the public bathrooms. I will not use a public bathroom that has a vent fan running. I will turn yours off if you leave it on after going potty. The sound makes me crazy.

My one true guilty pleasure is sleeping. I can honestly sleep 14 hours every single day and feel well rested and not grumpy. But obviously that doesn't happen.

I am somewhat of a birth junkie, I also have a secret dream to be a doula or midwife (although it is not a secret anymore!). But I am kind of a "suck it up, you are fine" person when it comes to illness or what-have-you, so I am afraid I won't be good at that line of work. As it stands, I figure I can work with addicts since I have an addictive personality and I CAN tell them to suck it up and get their life in order

On my DVR you will find mostly comedy shows. I sorta love the ridiculous nature of Big Bang or the newer one "Two Broke Girls." It gets a laugh out of me. I don't watch movies though, at least I have not in years.

I am a bit addicted to JM. I leave the screen up all day long (we have a laptop in our living room) and bop around the rooms I am part of. I would hate to see my daily post count...cause it is prolly super-high. Liam has learned "not to touch mommy's laptop." Prolly not a great thing to have to know at the age of 2. But my sanity needs to be maintained and it sure as heck isn't going to be by staying in with two kids all day long!

And I drink iced tea all day long. Decaf...made at home. But we fly thru tea bags in this house. Thank goodness I can say it is full of antioxidants

Oh...and I pretty much say whatever I want. All the time. Gets me in trouble, a LOT. It is worse around strangers or people I don't like. I am not nearly as bad around DH or my parents. But I guess there is less I shouldn't say around those people.

I'm a military wife and SAHM. We're in the middle of a lot of moving. *sigh* Lived on the boarder of Mexico for 17 months. Now we're at our current location for 3 months. Then we're moving to the east coast for 9 months. And then I don't know. I'm tired of moving, but I try not to complain since DH has 10 years left in his commitment. Pretty pointless to complain for 10 years, no? lol. Most of our stuff is in storage over 1,000 miles away currently as we live in a tiny apartment with rental furniture. I don't watch TV since we don't get any TV stations.
I'm a big time baby wearer and own a whole collection of carriers at this point. It's my true obsession, waaaaay above cloth diapers. I'm a mod on another forum for their BWing sub section.
I love to cook. I have my own blog for it: Cooking with Mrs Sea Monster

Ways to relax? JM, FB, sewing, creating fun skin care stuff, cooking . . . I love it all, it's my way to relax.
Family life? Just DH, Kaiden, and Lola. We see family and friends pretty often
