I bought some before DS1 was born 3.5 years ago to use as burp cloths, but now I'm thinking I could pad fold some and use them as extra inserts in my pockets. What do you think? I know they are probably not the best flats, but we've used them to soak up potty training accidents and they seem to absorb quickly and hold a lot.
Also, how do you pad fold? Just fold it evenly as possible so it fits?

I have heard Gerber flats make good doublers or newborn flats. They are thinner and smaller than a "real" flat.

To padfold, I fold in half twice to make a smaller square, then fold that in thirds to make a long rectangular pad. But you can do it however you like of course

I'd be more than happy to use them padfolded it's the only way I use flats now, and I find them GREAT for overnight, inside a fitted
