I have a 20 month old and was thinking about just introducing a potty. Not expecting much yet of course LOL but I do have a couple of questions...

When you are in the very early stages of potty training do you just use the regular diaper you always use (pocket, prefold etc)? Just take it all off to let them sit on the potty since they won't be necessarily advanced enough yet anyway to need to pull something down themselves?

And once it is getting more advanced what do you use when you are a cloth diaperer? this is my first kiddo

the very very early days, I would take Gaby's diaper off and let her sit on the potty - if she wanted to... Gaby wasn't trained until about 2y5m, but I did begin getting her acquainted with the potty at around 18mo - I would let her sit on it when she wanted, and often when I went to the toilet, she'd join me and sit on her potty....
