is there a good detergent for cd available at like walmart? I could go into the city and get rockin green, but it would be easier if there was one I could get at walmart. What do you think?

you can use either. I hear since they changed their formula the liquid is actually better. (i still have a stockpile of the old powder) LOVE Tide! Rock n Green will not get stains out the way Tide will.
I even have a bag of RNG you can have. I feel like i'm just pouring baking soda in when i use it. Useless.
Do you still get Roch city water where you are?

I just started using Tide after 3 and a half years of using natural detergents. Moved into a new house and had to make the change. Wish I would have made it sooner!!!

Add me to the Tide fangirl club. I was using Arm and Hammer Essentials Free, which I got at our grocery store, and that worked fine for us for about 8 months.
But then I started getting stinky diapers after they were peed in, and after stripping them and trying a few other things with limited success, switching to Tide (regular liquid version up to the 1 line) is what fixed it.

My advice is if you have the same city water as Alice, LISTEN TO HER!!!!!! Use what she uses! The water hardness/quality is super important for CD washing and is why the same detergent can be fabulous for one person, useless for the next. So just by going with what someone has already found to work for your local water, you have saved a ton of trial-and-error
Basically every detergent out there has a CD mama who says "I use X detergent with no problems" and another who says "X detergent was terrible for me" - including the CD-safe detergents AND all the grocery store brands.
