I'm snagging this idea from Married Life b/c I'm curious...
What is the story behind your user name? How did you come up with it?

Cause it wasn't taken when I joined in 2004.
Actually, some of you who have been around a while will remember me as ˝rawisner˝, which was my first and middle initial and then last name. When I joined I was using that all the time. It's a long story as to why I kept my married last name after I divorced my older kids' dad, but a few years ago Neely asked that I go back to my maiden name, so I changed my name here to just Rachel.

my name is Erin and i no longer have a thyroid gland. LOL WHen I joined here it was because I found the "thyroid disorders" section and i was looking for some support. My thyroid condition was causing me to have to wait to TTC and I just wanted to find others who could relate. It was a great help and I branched out to other sections of this board and just kept my screen name

I changed my screen name to what it is currently once we found out we were having a third boy. My last screen name was "eyekayak" which came from my email when I worked for an outfitters and taught kids kayaking. I wanted "ikayak" but of course that was taken.

Mine is b/c we live in South Missouri (MO), and the nickname for down here is SoMo. I also have a ton of chickens, so my husband calls me the crazy chicken lady. lol My last name was kara_leigh, which is just my first and middle names. I changed it to somo_chickenlady after we moved down here last year and got chickens.

I have thyroid issues too...was dx'd with Hoshimoto's before pregnancy (also have juvenile diabetes so lots of auto-autoimmune issues here) and put on Levothyroxine. That made me have hyperthyroid issues so for part of the pregnancy I had to have meds to counter that...Weird thing is at the end of the pregnancy another endo checked for antibodies because the ped. at the hosp. needed that lab work for the baby and found that I have none for Hashi's
I think my sn is pretty obvious Although I might have to change it if we are blessed with more children.

It's pretty hard to explain, one of those "you had to be there" kinda things. I will say it is the result of a very cheap bottle of vodka though

I'm originally from Missouri (born and raised right out side of St Louis)
Mine is kind of obvious. Picked it when I was pregnant with my son and it still fits since I do, in fact, have another on the way. I might change it after this kiddos is born.

A looonnngggg time ago I was in an online group and we sent cards and presents to kids in the cancer hospitals. We all had nicknames that started with Angel. I was Angel Sailor. Sailor was in honor of my uncle. Its stuck ever since as my email, screen names, etc. 288 is my birthday.

mine's a little different . . . it started with the legend of the green man (Type O Neg anyone?? ) and being very into the earth I wanted something along those lines. Green woman didn't sound quite right, but greenchild did . . . and I've stuck with it ever since.

My favorite horse I have ever known was a Lippizan stallion named PlutoIIDixana. He was beautiful, had perfect conformation, and the smoothest trot of any horse I have ever ridden. He lives in new york now and I miss him
Plutodixana or Dixana are my screennames on pretty much any website I visit so if you see that name it is probably me!

That's how I pronounce mine also. It's the only way to pronounce it, IMO.
