So Liam is 12 days old today. We've been getting along pretty well with cloth until today. I dont know if it's just a fluke or what but today he has wet through a fuzzibunz and a bum genius AIO, and he had a blowout in a happy heiney and a pampers. He was only in them each for about an hour. I dont think they are repelling because they were soaked all the way through. I guess I might just have a heavy wetter on my hands, any ideas for staying dry?

Hemp doublers work well for a lot of ladies..I personally don't have any because they are pricey and Im on a really tight budget but it apparently works...

Oh hmm...they are AIOs? I'm assuming they are newborn AIOs? If so, I know that they tend to not be the most absorbent and many people have similar issues (I'm not sure about the particular brands, only speaking in general). How big is he now? What other diapers do you have available? If they are soaked, it sounds like it's an over wetting issue and not a diaper/repelling issue. Since it's an AIO, it's a little harder to add extra inserts, unless you have something you can lay on top.

Might be time to size up. Newborn diapers are not designed to hold much and you might have better luck with smalls or OS, if he can possibly fit into them.

Hemp doublers are good for adding absorbency to pockets.

i agree that if you have anything in newborn size its going to have less absorbancy. they make them thinner so they arent as HUGE on a tiny baby and many newborns dont need that much absorbancy. You might size up, they will be more bulky but they will also hold more and adding more inserts will make it bulky as well. I think everything is just super bulky on newborns. We do have hemp doublers and they work great, i use them for over night.

yeah he wet 2 pockets and an AIO. They were a newborn and extra smalls, but I tried the bigger sizes on him today and he's still just too small, except for a FB one size, it was so bulky it was hilarious, but it fit. I think I will try to get some hemp inserts if I can get some cheap. But today he didn't have any issues so who knows maybe it was a weird fluke yesterday. Or maybe all 3 of those diapers have bad pul since they are all used. We'll see what happens over the next couple days
