What are your favorite ways to fold flats? Any recommendations for what would work great for a chunky 6 month old girl? So far we've only done the origami fold, which I like. but I'd like to try some more.
I liked the Neat fold when M was that age. The nice wings make it easy to snappi! And you jellyroll the sides as you put it on so it works well for poo containment. You do need a doubler though or it won't hold much, a preemie prefold works great or a newborn prefold for super absorbancy. I like folding the doubler into the diaper so it holds in place well and guides my folding, rather than laying it on top, though both options work well. The kite fold is basically like the neat fold too and loved by many, but I like how "neat" the neat folds looks
If you want to get away without a doubler, I'd say your best bets are the Diaper Bag fold or Airplane fold! Or folding like a prefold and using a bikini twist, since you have a girl.
