I am cloth diapering my 7 week old daughter. So far, I am loving the BG 4.0 diapers and the Freetime AIO's. I tried Fuzzibunz and hated the way they adjusted with the elastics. I am glad I tried another brand before giving up on cloth completely!
My question - Will I have to worry about the insert on the pocket diapers moving around and bunching up when she starts becoming more mobile?
This is my first child. Any advice is appreciated!
My toddler is currently in BG 4.0's. She's 2 and they are my go to diaper for her. Granted, I've only been cloth diapering her for a few weeks now, but I LOVE these diapers. I find the pockets keep the insert more flat that the covers with a stay dry insert. I have the Flip system too and her insert is always bunched up in the middle when I take those off. That's why I like the pockets better. They seem to hold things flatter. It's going to end up bunched a little bit no matter what you do because it's going in between her legs, but I do think the BG's hold up well and my daughter is SUPER active.
P.s. I haven't gotten to use these much yet, but I did just get some Sunbaby diapers and have noticed that the fit is narrower between the crotch. Seems to cause less bunching in the middle since you aren't stuffing so much between the legs. Jury is still out on what I think of the quality of the diapers. They don't feel as heavy duty as the BG's, so I'm hoping they hold up well. They are easily half the cost though so it was worth it for me to have a few in the rotation and they have such cute prints.
My dd is 6.5 months and I've never had an issue with the inserts bunching up in our 4.0s or any pocket diaper for that matter. Then again she's just started to scoot around a bit so I don't know if she's considered "mobile" yet
