This will be my first fall/winter cloth diapering. Before buying pants for the twins I was wondering what are your favorite brands to fit over fluffy butts? How do you get jeans to fit?

im probably in the minority on this one but ive never had a problem with jeans or pants and CDs on my kids, ive never had to size up or anything. My kids are tall and skinny so actually the fluffy bum helps keep the pants on

i know a lot of people go up a size though

We have never done jeans. They don't look comfy on little legs to me.

I have had good luck with: Life Is Good, Zutano, Hanna Andersonn, American Apparel, and homemade fleece pants. Carters and Old Navy fit okay after she started walking but she had some diaper showing, I don't mind that though. If you size up (always a good idea for babies!!) look for cuffed ankle styles, they stay rolled up much better than the wide leg/karate pants look. Also check out the WAHMs sticky, there is a JM mom who makes really cute pants designed to fit over a wide size range and over fluffy butts!

ditto. In fact when he's in a plastic diaper for daycare, his pants are always on the verge of falling down!

It was harder with DD than with Dominic. I'm not really sure why, other than he has a tiny TINY butt like his dad He looks more normal wearing cloth than disposables. For DD we found usually sized up and I bought a lot of her jeans at Old Navy. Also a brand around here called Joe fit her well.

Old Navy, Baby Gap, Joe, and Children's Place have all been great- but we haven't had too much of an issue anyway.

I don't prefer jeans on small ones, but I do have a few pairs that seem to fit without a problem. No idea what brands they are, they are hand-me-downs.

^^ This exactly for my Ezekiel.

Rachael on the other hand is a different story. I started CDing her at 15 months and by that time it was warmer out so dresses or skirts worked perfectly for her. She doesnt fit well in jeans fluffy bum or no, she is just too...shall we say "solid"? LOL. So I usually just got her stretchy pants.
