My little dude is so teeny that I decided to get a newborn cloth rental package from a local store. I assume he will be in NB size for another 2 months or so.

He is 1 month old today (today is also his due date lol) and he is 6lbs 14oz (just barely got back up to his birthweight) and 20.5 inches.

The only cloth that fits him are his preemie prefolds and cover (but he hates feeling wet) and the Lil Joeys. The fuzzibunz xs and BG newborns gape at the legs still!

aww so cute! Ive never had a tiny baby so we didnt even use newborn size. Ive always heard great things about the lil joeys. If you are renting can you get them to send you more lil joeys to replace the other brands that dont fit?

He is SO cute though in your siggy! My girl was born at 7 lbs, 12 oz and even she needed premie prefolds at first for the best fit. Hopefully he'll keep doing well and fit into newborn.

For his size they look like a great fit! For the prefolds you can get micro fleece or suede cloth. Cut it up into rectangles and lay it on the prefold. No need to finish the edges. Just cut and use. Make sure you wash the fabric before you cut as there is all sorts of nasty stuff in fabric you don't want touching his skin. Pee will go right through and he will feel dry!
luv2bemommy and Gripstress like this.

^^^What she said! Was going to say that also. Micro fleece(not micro fiber!) feels totally dry to the touch...I try to see if my girl is wet and I cannot tell by touch. He's so cute!
