I'm expecting again and I didn't start cloth diapering with my 1st til she was 9m old so although I have a great stash already, I don't have any newborn diapers. I don't wanna spend a whole bunch so I was wondering what about receiving blankets folded? I loved their trimness with my daughter but would they be too bulky with a newborn? Would they hold much? Since I didnt cd at that age I have no experience with amounts of pee and cloth holding it. So point me in the cheapest direction for cd a newborn! Please and thank you!!

You can use them but they may be on the bulky side. I tried regular sized flats on my newborn and they were a bit much but it could be done. I used orange edge Clotheez from GMD & they are $24 per dozen new from Green Mountain Diapers. A couple dozen of those would get you pretty far. But I'd try the receiving blankets. Do you have a bunch of them? You could even trim them down a bit and use scraps for wipes. Just thinking "out loud"...
