These things are HUGE! As far as I can tell there's only one size for them, but I can't imagine using these on my newborn. Should I just fold it basically in half? We're having a little boy so I know I need to fold it up some anyway, but that much? I have real nappies diaper covers, and as far as I can tell folding these prefolds in half (hamburger style) then in the three (hotdog) is the only way to get them to fit. We also have a dozen osocozy smalls that fit nicely in the diaper covers. I'm just wondering if I should buy another dozen of thsoe, and wait for him to grow for the gerbers. WDYT?

I don't think you'll have good luck with the Gerber ones. They aren't real diapers! People usually use them for spit up, but they weren't absorbent enough for even that purpose for my kids! I'd buy some real prefolds if you want to go that route.

Really? They fluffed up real nice after I washed them a few times. They seem to be thicker than the other prefolds that I have. I might do some trials with some water lol

Thanks for the heads up

They use like quilt batting in the center. Bulky and fluffy, but doesn't do the work needed. Do some experiments, but everyone I've ever known that tried failed with CD using them. I bought preemie or newborn size real prefolds and use them for burp cloths. Four kids later and they still look new! They can hold a ton, so you could use them for diapers and then again for burp rags if you have a huge spitter upper like I've had. We call them bubble cloths in our house as the texture is so fluffy and bubbly, but we also use them to debubble the baby.
