I see that everyone seems to be making their own. Kannon is 8 months (today, the 5th!), and we've been using microfiber cloth and plain terry rags. They don't seem to irritate his skin, they work SO well, and we just wash them regularly. Is there a reason I should be using velour or homemade ones? (Look at me being all paranoid...I can't help it! I feel now like I might be doing something wrong!) We've used them since he came home and it's never bothered him...they're nothing special--the yellow micro from Costco and the car rags also from there. Hooray for bulk cloth!

Well, I have both the WAHM velour/sherpa wipes that cost $1.50 each, and the dollar store baby washcloths that cost $1 for the whole dozen, and I can't say that I see any difference in performance or baby's preference betweeen them, so I say it is just a matter of what yoiu and your kiddo like

i was wondering what all the fuss was about too. We just use baby washcloths and it seems to be working fine. I like that they are a little rougher because it helps get poo off easy!

what you're using is absolutely fine! there isn't a difference too much in performance, i actually think the flannel and terry cloth picks up more. but i have a bunch of different material ones and i never use more than 2 no matter which ones i grab. you're doin good mama
