Now that my little guys newborn stash seems pretty solid I plan to get his "regular" stash going. I'm mainly going for pockets, AIOs and a few fitteds w/covers (this is basically for ease of use for my dh since he will be little guys main caregiver when I'm away at work). Of course, since he isn't here yet I can't really say which brand is best for him, so I wanted to pick a couple of different brands in each category and buy a few dipes. That way, I can play around with them while I'm still home on maternity leave and hopefully have a good working idea of what I like before going back to work (this will allow me to just tell dh "Order "x" amount of these dipes." No guesswork on his part (he's really not good at this sort of thing--but he sure can pick out a good carseat! LOL).

So, what I want to know is, which dipes have the best resell value (since I'm sure I'll have to sell some)? I'd like to know this for pockets, AIOs and fitteds
(BTW, I would ask this on ds.com but I just KNOW that there will be a gazillion different brands listed since so many of the mammas are completely addicted to buying diapers!). Preferably mainstream or easily attainable diapers (I don't want to have to wait for an auction that starts at 2am on some obscure site to get the dipe).

Thanks.

FITTEDS: (i don't use fitteds but im using what i have seen alot)
i think Nana's bottoms

o and i wanted to also come back and add that with fitteds you will need covers, anything wool is resellable. but the best covers i would say for resale is Bummis Super Whisper Wraps and proraps. they seem to be a winner with pretty much everyone and especially new CDers.

BGs are probaly the most popular. When I sold mine I sold all 24 within a day, most within about 90 minutes. Nothing else I have sold as gone that fast.

Sadly I had to part with my Little Beetle ONE fitteds because they were to wide in the crotch for her and those went in a few hours too (I only had 2 of them)

My worst selling - hardest to get rid of diaper was the rumpsters that took a week to sell.

Thanks for the input ladies.

@ mommytothree: Are the Little Beetle ONE fitteds trim?

@ everyone else: Anyone have anything else to add (experiences selling certain brands, the dipes that you tend to "pounce" on, etc)?

All my Swaddlebees sold right away - I hated them but some people obviously don't
Also quick to sell were my Fuzzi Bunz, I had pm's lined up for them when I listed them with the inserts. When I listed them as diapers only they took a couple days. My Cubbies too, they sold fast. And BumGenius too.
My AMP took longer, though I don't know why it was a fantastic diaper - maybe just not as well known? My Hugga Buns took a few days to sell. My small Lucy's Hope Chest never did sell, after a week I just gave it to my kids to use on their doll her small's are really small.
I got the best resale on my Cubbies and BumGenius. the BG's sold for what I paid for them (less s/h) and the Cubbies sold for $2 less what I paid for them (less s/h) Some of my Fuzzi Bunz I sold for a low price, I wanted them to move fast - I still made back 75% what I paid for them.
I notice anyhting with embroidery seems to sell fast.

I would say BG's and FB's seem to sell fast. Now, I have never sold either, LOL, but when I see the responses on DS to both of these products there are always a lot of responses!

I'm having a real hard time selling my cubbies, even 3.50$ below what I paid.

yup that's it, which is so not right cause she doesn't get any credit for her work! she makes the best AIOs i have ever used.

i think the reason for the FBs going low sometimes is because they aren't high in demand, everyone has them, but everyone also is wanting them, so it depends on the times of sale...some weeks they are going like gotcakes, the next week it might be a slow time.

beth i think it's just the times...but i think yours will sell.

no the LB ONE is not that trim, the LB Hemp Lite is pretty trim but it is "lite" so it is really only a day time dipe. The LB ONE was very thick in the crotch area for my little girl. She couldn't get her legs even close to eachother with it on. I loved them though, so absorbent and soft. But I noticed I wasn't using them so I found them a new home. They also took a long time to dry.

I really like my AMP AI2s. They are by far the BEST made WAHM dipe I have. The craftmanship is incredible. They are so pretty too. I have the larges (15-30 lbs) and I can't see them fitting a 30 pounder though.
