How do you keep poop in the diaper? Yesterday was my first full day of cloth, and they both pooped out of the diaper, onto their covers. Vivi I did the jelly roll fold, and Carter was the newspaper fold. Is this normal? Other than that, so far so good *fingerscrossed*

is the poop actually coming out of the cover?? or just on the inside of the cover?? is it breastfed poop? i would say if its just getting on the cover and not actually out of the dipe, then you should try some more types of folds. there are tons out there. if its actually coming out of the dipe, then you have a fitting issue. check the legs and whatnot when you put the dipe on. i'm not sure if i was really any help....oh, go to diapperswappers.com to look for some more folds you can try.

Thanks for your reply! Well my dd was bf poop, it came pretty close to coming out of the cover(at the crotch). My ds has the yucky toddler poop, and that also came onto the crotch of the cover. I will check out some other folds. Maybe I just need more practice

I had this same problem within the past few months and I think I posted the same thing!! I think it eventually just took practice. I usually try to do a tight jelly roll fold. After I snappi it, I check it around the legs and if it is at all loose I roll the loose fabric in until it's tighter. Occasionally I still have a blowout, though! Good luck!

I had poop escapes in the beginning until I got the hang of it. You'll get it!
