Has anyone used this fabric for a stay dry layer? I don't like how ugly fleece gets after repeated washing, but my guy may be sensitive to suedecloth (I haven't tried it again since I noticed how red it made him last time). Does this work well? Does it hold up well?

All I know is it's a freaking PAIN to sew!! I haven't personally used it in a diaper though, just a custom someone ordered.

Hmmm, I don't want anything that's a pain to sew, since I'm not experienced with difficult fabrics at all.

Are there any other fabrics that can be used? Or is there a microfleece that doesn't pill? It seems that all the non-pill fleece I've worked with is heavy weight.

the microfleece from Wazoodle is pretty nice and I think it wouldn't pill very much. It's pretty stretchy too, but not as difficult to sew as the powderdry.

Hating wazoodle right now. They were late on one of my orders, then my snap press has been delayed 2mo now, and they've only ever sent one notice about that and refuse to respond to my customer service tickets (along with many other women I might add). Also, on a diaper sewing board I visit, several women have complained about their PUL delaminating (it's not fabrite's PUL) - so just a warning on that.

yeah, I've heard that before, but I haven't had any of those problems personally. Any time we've called them they have been very nice and helpful. We are waiting on a snap press from them, but I understand why it's taking so long and we were in the October preorder, so it's not really past our "due date" for that to get sent.

They carry two different types of PUL. One is labeled "fabrite PUL" and the other "Diaper-maker PUL" I've tried the diapermaker PUL and haven't had any problems with it. It's made with a different process, not laminated...
