Kelli was looking to get some pants made to match a hat she found. I went with her to the yarn store (turns out that was a mistake! ) and found some yarn I fell in love with! So if I could find someone to make some longies for me out of it, I was wondering how much I would need. Just a rough estimate in yards for each size. Thanks!

the lady I'm talking to on DS just pm'd me back... here's what she said:

Yarn for longies
sm - 200 yds
med - 260yds
lg. 320 yds
These are approximate so if you are between sizes you can figure if you'll need a little more or a little less. A matching hat is usually another 50-70 yds.

I think the yarn you found was 250 yards, so you could do that and maybe get a small skien for trim...

If I was better at it, I'd love to, but I'm working on a baby bib at the moment. My first project! LOL

DITTO!

I am just learning, but I want to try to make some longies soon. I just fiished my first sweater. It took 5 days to complete. Working mostly at night. I am really enjoying it though, the pregnancy has caused me to have restless ARM sydrome and having something to occupy my hands has helped so much, I can't even explain. I mean, I could almost cry over it. You cannot imagie what it feels like to have to move your arms all the time!
