Omg. First, the administrator didn't tell anyone who I was or that I was even starting today. She didn't have me fill out any of the necessary paperwork to even allowed me to be on the premises. At noon the secretary quit and walked out. This caused the HR rep, who just returned from a 3 month stress related medical leave, to cry on my shoulder. When the administrator finally came in at about 1:30, she completely ignored me all day. I don't have an office or a desk yet, so I just pulled a chair up to a coworkers desk and learned from her all day. Holy ****. It was awful. Might as well tell them that I am pregnant tomorrow. Hell, why not. And since my bad language will be filtered out anyway: ****, ****, ****.
Im sorry you were put through this. What a horrible first day, but keep your head up. When I t took my job offer same thing kinda happen to me. I walked in, no one knew who I was or why I was there.. only friendly people were the guys who were supposed to be training me but they had no idea what they were doing.. 5 years later I love everyone I work with and have switched from and in the office to at home position for the last 4 year!! good things can come from it. Later I found out I was hired on because they had so much caos going on there and all they needed were extra people! Good luck hun. take a hot bath tonight and try to enjoy the rest of your evening.
