It was a good appt today. Baby's HR was 151bpm. The OB I saw today is an old family friend who I actually used to baby sit for his kids. All my lab work came back normal. The OB did want to discuss BC options for after delivery. Since this will be my 3rd C-section a tubal, IUD, Essure, or Vasectomy for DH are recommended. The practice I go to will automatically put me in a high risk category if I get pregnant for a 4th time. Which is not to say that they are strictly against this, just that they don't want me to go forward with a fourth c-section without the knowledge that it is more dangerous each time you have to be cut open. I have already been weighing my options anyway since I know we are done after this one, so it was nice that he was so up front about what is available, and that he was willing to take the time to answer a few questions I had. We also discussed my back pain. Ice packs alternated with heat, and yoga type stretching were his biggest options if I don't want to take Tylenol, or see either a chiropractor or physical therapist. I go back on the 7th of Feb for my anatomy scan and to see my main OB who will actually be doing my section.
