How long after delivery did it take you to start feeling upto chores and/or work? I feel achy still. Breastfeeding and the occasional diaper change takes up all of my reserves. But DH goes back to work on Thursday, so I can't really afford to be lying around anymore. But I don't know how I am gonna do it all! Any insight or advice?

stick to the bare minimum once he goes back to work . It takes time to heal and if you push it too much you will hurt yourself or be in pain.

I've been doing housework since our second day home. I still get sore after a while though.

I felt back to normal energy wise about 2 weeks after birth. I stuck to basics like laundry and dishes only for the first two weeks and my DH and kids help a TON while I'm recovering.

I haven't really done anything except for feeding Nora and changing some diapers. I had a c-section, though, and hubby has been doing everything. I fed the dogs last night, but it hurt so much to bend down to put their bowls on the floor. I'm not doing that again for a while.

Hubby goes back to work on Friday which I'm TERRIFIED of. He took 2 weeks off.

I was so beat the first 2 weeks. All I did was laundry and occasionally dishes. Those are the most important in my book.

We have hard wood floors so we sweep/swifter instead of vacuum and I didn't do that consistently until Pen was 2 weeks old.

I have a laundry schedule (certain items on specific days) so that helps to not get me overwhelmed.

We totally use paper plates, plastic utensils and cups to cut down on what needs to be washed.

C section recovery is definitely a whole different story.
