There should be a law against getting sick at the end of pregnancy

On Thursday I went in for a non stress test and had my membranes swept. I was 1-2cm dilated and 50% effaced. I was really hoping that would trigger labor to begin!

On Friday morning I woke up violently ill. I've been nauseated, had a low grade fever (up to 101), and couldn't eat much of anything. I was able to keep down liquids for the most part and made sure to drink as much as I could to avoid going to the hospital for an IV.

Starting last night, I finally started feeling like myself again. I feel pretty decent today, except for some leftover nausea Of course my system has completely stalled labor... I feel like this baby is going to be in me forever!

I have to go on Thursday for my next appointment, where I will have my membranes swept again. Then on Friday I'll have a bio physical profile (ultrasound) done to make sure everything is still okay with baby/fluids. I guess next week I'll have to be induced if she's still inside me!

(I'm getting pretty jealous of all of the adorable newborns on here. I really want mine now!)

Ugh I'm sorry you have been sick! End of pregnancy sickness is one of my biggest nightmares right now.

I'm seriously not going to leave the house except to go to my appointments until after I have her. I went to so many places last week and I'm sure I brought it home from somewhere

I hear you! And the second part to my nightmare is that both of my older children are coming down with it too!

I was sick for 3 weeks with bad cough, laryngitis, etc and then my doctor gave me antibiotics. That seemed to work for about a week and the cough is creeping back in for the last 3 days. Today both kids have runny noses! Was hoping to start labor up soon. Now just want to stay pregnant a little longer and get everyone healthy (or at least not contagious!)

Good luck to you!

Good luck to you as well! Hopefully everyone in your family will be sickness free when baby arrives! It's so horrible getting sick like this in the very end.
