Hi guys. So I found out yesterday at my 20 week anatomy scan that I do have anterior placenta, which is good to know b/c it explains why I haven't been feeling him move yet and I'm already 20w2d. When I asked my doctor when he thought I'd start feeling him move, he said he couldn't give me a time range but not to worry about it as it would be fine. So my question is for those who have had anterior placenta before - when did you start feeling the little one move? I'm hoping it's soon b/c I hate not feeling him at all!

im getting super light taps above and below my placenta now. they started at 19. My OB said anywhere from 19-26 weeks you should start identifying movement.

You know, I'm thinking I have it with this one too. I had it with my daughter and I couldn't feel anything until 22 weeks. I have yet to feel anything with this little one.

I've been feeling little movements here and there for a few weeks. The stronger movements are just now starting. I'll be 21 weeks tomorrow and I have an anterior placenta.

Popping in from July. Mine is anterior and I was freaking out over lack of movement but within the past few days it has kicked in full tilt. I had an anterior in my last pregnancy as well and I can remember as late as 30+ weeks not getting a lot of strong movement.

I'm 17 weeks and have been feeling slight movement for a week or so. my placenta is anterior but to the left a bit so baby kicks on my right side. We did have a lot of trouble hearing the heart beat though for a long time d/t the placenta blocking baby.

Popping in from September. I'm 17w2d with #3 and nothing yet. I've thought I felt him (a bubble pop here, and thump there) but no regularity and never more than 1. How do you know if you have AP? I felt DS at 16w and DD at 13w. Just thought I would have felt him by now. =/

What do you gals think?

TattooedMama - the only way to find out if you have AP is through an ultrasound. I didn't find out til my 20 week anatomy scan. I'm now 21w and still not feeling movement! Ugh!!!!

it really started picking up for me at 21. I can now get a few good kicks in a day and some more smaller thumps.

Lurking from June. This is baby three but first with ap. I think it was around 22-23 weeks that began to feel movement. I'm 30 now and I feel everything! With baby two I felt him at 13 weeks and baby 1 was 20.

2bigboys - thank you for that info, makes me feel better. I'm now 22w3d and still nothing. I'm counting down the days til my 24w appointment to hear the heartbeat. I know the doctor told me not to worry at all for not feeling him, but it still makes me so nervous (and sad that I'm not getting to feel him like I did with DD).
