ok, you ladies are probably sick of hearing me talk about names on this forum. but, we had been trying to figure out a girl's name.... and now that we're sure our little one is a boy, we have a new problem!

we are 100% on a first name, which we've had for months, even before conceiving-- darwin. we were going to definitely use alexander as a middle name (dh's father is allen and his grandfather is albert, so we thought alexander was a good al- name to honor them both), but dh has been unsure on it lately.

so, now we're scrambling for a good middle. we typically like old-fashioned names, especially ones that are under-used, and i feel like darwin needs one that is very strong and masculine-sounding. so far i haven't found one that is all three things.

here is our brainstorm so far-- any thoughts/suggestions appreciated!

darwin alexander
darwin andrew
darwin anthony
darwin drake
darwin matthew
darwin theodore
darwin michael <---kinda overused in our family
darwin james <--- *so* overused in our family
darwin jameson <---variant on james, but has repeated -n sound
darwin allistair <--- sounds too feminine to me

I like Alexander and Anthony...I think they are both masculine.

From your list I like Darwin Alexander too.

How about Gregory, Mathias, Samuel, Augustus, Ferdinand, Montgomery, Charles, Harold, Gilbert, Maxwell, Frederick...?
