i've had absolutely no dreams about this baby. well... id had a few where i was visibly pregnant, inexplicably further along than i am now, but no mention was ever made of the baby. typically, the most acknowledgement was that i was either refusing a cigarette, or accepting one despite my obvious condition. (weird, because i quit four years ago!) and i'm talking, i've had less than five of even those dreams.

well, yesterday i woke up upset, having had a dream where i was bleeding heavily, and in the process of losing the baby. in the dream, the doctors wouldn't help me-- not that they couldn't, they were just opting not to, saying i would be "fine."

and this morning, i woke up to *another* late-term miscarriage dream. this one was more sneaky-- it was a kind of uneventful dream, until the end. i was running to a meeting i was late for, carrying a lot of bags, and i tripped. i was being rushed to the hospital in the dream when my son woke me up. weirdest part-- i woke up sore, as if i'd actually fell.

so, i hope this trend of having nightmares ends soon, it's really taking an emotional toll on me. anyone else been dealing with traumatic pregnancy related dreams?

I have those dreams constantly. In the first trimester I had a lot of bleeding issues, so I would constantly dream of miscarriage and blood everywhere. I stopped having them for a while, then I found out I had placenta previa and the blood dreams started up again.
