I totally know that feeling too! It sucks. I've had plenty of those moments. I always disliked in treatment when they said dont' say you feel fat it's not a feeling - well like h*ll it isn't - i feel it.
Is there anyway you could maybe do something like write positive messages on the mirror?! That always helped me to kind of re-direct my focus - or even if you didn't want to do an "affirmation" you could write a little not to your daughter each week and leave it on the mirror you use the most - again, that way you are seeing something positive and sending a new message to you and to your daughter! It could become a new special tradition that would really make her feel good too - esp if you point it out and read it to her.
(i know it's cheesy) but things like that do seem to help me after the overwhelming cheese factor wears off.
awww thats so sweet I bet she'll LOVE seeing that!!! It's amazing the positive influence small things like that can have on a young kiddo. and how a small thing like that can even have on us!. I do notes for DS and when DD is older i'll do them for her too.
