I have been thinking about this for a long time… I hate surprises… I love to plan everything to a TEE… But maybe I could go without knowing the sex of the baby.

Will you find out? Why or why not?

I really think not finding out will give me and my husband a great bonding experience when we find out in the delivery room. We found out with the two previous. (SOOOO LONG ago)

Your Thoughts?

We will be finding out the gender. I am an obsessive compulsive planner and organizer! Seeing how this is our first we want to be prepared.

We will be finding out as soon as we can. we have to redecorate the whole nursery & our bedroom for this baby plus i like to have every thing set before the baby gets here. (I hate buying clothes in neutral color)

I was thinking that when I am out… People may not know if the baby was a boy or a girl. My husband says that I try to control everything and that he doesn't think that I will be able to wait… (I know he is right, but I still wanna prove him wrong)
Our house is in Florida, but we are living here in Kuwait now. We have an extra room that we will make into a nursery… but who knows when that will happen! (It is such a LONG flight HOME!!!) I figured that we would only get a little bit of things here (everything is expensive here!) and as infants they won't need much…

I wish I could be team green. I think it'd be such a great experience! But just knowing me, there is no way I would be able to go without knowing! Besides, we will be buying a home and depending on the gender of this baby... the number of bedrooms we need changes, so we really need to find out.

I will this time It's DH's first child and he is a planner... plus we're all dying in anticipation as we are hoping for a boy. No boys in the family... at all lol

First.. I did not.. thought it was a boy the whole time... it was a girl

Second.. found out we were having a girl

Both experiences are wonderful.

Wow Bella! That is an awesome idea! I was thinking about getting the sexes in an envelop and sending them to my MIL. (I am thinking that the baby shower would be in NY) Then we would be excited and have what we need but stick be surprised together!

No one is TEAM GREEN yet?

KHawk- Was it hard not knowing?

I really like the idea of not finding out, but I can't wait. Knowing that I can know makes it too hard to resist. Plus, we need everything either way. If it is a girl, I'd like to get girly car seat, clothes, etc since I've never gotten to get girly things.

We will be finding out, and with my last 3 it was so obvious, I didn't even need the tech to tell me the gender. I think I'd have to ignore the screen to be on team green and I don't want to miss seeing the baby.

I'm with you on having to ignore the screen. I would have to do the same and no way I will miss seeing the baby.

We're definitely finding out. I do not like surprises at all. I want to be able to plan. A few people told us with DD to wait because there are so few exciting surprises like this. But I figure it's a surprise whether you find out before or after the baby is born and finding out earlier means you get to plan. Also I'm not a fan of gender-neutral clothes for the sole fact that they are generally white which is just not a good color with all the messes babies have. DD also is not a fan of surprises or changes so I really want to be able to prepare her for if she's getting a brother or sister.

I'm wanting to go team green. But, I don't think my husband will go for it. I need to do more convincing.

If I had any patience for waiting to find out I love the idea of having a bakery make a surprise cake. That would be really cool. Also then you get cake out of the deal.

With my first baby, we waited until birth to find out. Then I found out with my second and third babies, so I'll probably find out again. Especially since we recently moved away from home and family.
