What are you all eating for dinner?

Saturday is our leftover night, and the kids just wanted ham sandwiches and fruit. I opted for a big bowl of broccoli with melted cheese on top...will probably scout the fridge in a bit because I am still monstrously hungry.

P.S. Cheetos taste amazing right now...

We had homemade veggie soup. I made way too much of it on Thursday, so we had it for 3 nights. After we all had a stomach virus this week, it was nice not to have to cook for a few days, but we're all sick of soup now, lol.

I always make way too much food, we are on our third night of leftovers this week. I figure with 4 teenage boys in my future it is a habit I don't need to worry too much about. I try to freeze the leftovers if it is a significant amount left. That way I have an easy meal just waiting for me.

Hope you all feel better soon.

It was edamame and soba noodle stir fry, mmm.

I always THINK I make way too much, but DH eats so much it never lasts more than a couple days. I'm in trouble when we have teenagers!

I made spaghetti. I'm at a point now where I don't know what I want until I'm starving and getting hangry. Nothing sounds good most of the time. I was only able to eat half a bowl of spaghetti. I can't wait to be feeling more normal again....

We had fried eggs because I was in the mood for eggs. DH seasoned them with salt and paprika. They tasted amazing!

DH was working so DD and I had left overs, I had manicotti while DD had peaches, cheese, & crackers. Tonight DH is home and I'm making breaded chicken with roasted carrots and roasted rosemary & thyme red potatoes! Yummy!

We had our friends over last night for supper. We had spaghetti and meatballs..mmm and gourmet cupcakes for dessert!

They brought their 3 daughters with them (4, 2, & 5 months), so along with my DD, it was an energetic evening! haha!

DH and I had a date night.. girls are at their dads for the weekend...

I had a chicken pot pie that was to die for and blackberry cobbler with ice cream (they make everything from scratch at this place). It was the best meal I'd had in awhile

Last night we had steak, baked potatoes and garlic green beans. We both have stomach issues (I had a gastric bypass surgery in 2006 and he's got Crohn's) so I only have to cook 1 steak and we share
Tonight (Sunday) we'll have what ever he brings home. He watches the football game at the tavern and will bring something home when he's done.

We had fresh haddock, right off the boat tonight. Oh my goodness, it was good. I don't get fresh fish nearly as often as I'd like, so this was such a nice treat!
