Hi ladies. Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I just got a bfp (well about 5) two days ago. Me and my hubby just married october 2013. This was a surpise indeed as i did not think it was possible. I miscarried dec of last year not even realizing i was pg prior but this time i guess i knew. Took 5 tests and all positive we really never thought it would happen and had not tried since the mc but did not deny the "if it happens" idea. Well it happened and now im scared. I have been reading so much on pregnancy at my age and am afraid of another loss. I have my fingers crossed and praying for the best. I have 3 children from a prior marriage ages 16, 13 and 9 and his sons are 21 and 10. We are overjoyed to say the least but i cannot help being apprehensive. I also work as a respiratory therapist long shift hours and lots of diseases and that worries me some. Anyhow enough of my babbling. I would love to hear some positive thoughts from those older mommies and mommies in healthcare to ease my mind. My due date looks to be around sept 30 so i am pushing this board haha anyhow nice meeting everyone
Congratulations and Welcome! I am a young mama, and don't work in healthcare but I do know that we have some RN's on the board and some women in their late 30's and early 40's. We are a really diverse group so I think you will have a lot of ladies to get advice from
JaxonJocelyn Gabriel Grayson and due in September!
Well, I'm on the older end, just turned 38, and I am expecting my 4th. My youngest now is 15 months. I guess my encouragement is to say that my mom was 44 when I was born as a surprise and everything went well for her and I haven't had any issues or difficulties
Grace (7), Elijah (4), Hannah (1), baby boy (coming soon)
plus 3 step-kids Brandon (18), Sarah (16) and Adam (13)
Congrats! Having my first in my 30s. I certainly feel like one of the least knowledgeable people in here, but based on what I read, TTC is what tends to cause the most problems as we age. So stay positive. Assume you're past the hard part. We certainly all hope so. =)
