what is your favorite band, singer, etc?

and just for fun, whats your most embarassing guilty pleasure band?

i dont know if i have just one favorite, but my most listened to stuff now is anything amanda palmer is involved in, world/inferno friendship society, tub ring, and foxy shazam. i also have a soft spot of 80s pop and 90s alt rock.

my tastes have changed dramatically over the years in that some of my old favs arent in rotation as much anymore, but i still know all the words to every song. shrug!

my guilty pleasure- sclub7. i even watched their tv show back in the day, lol!

I haven't heard of any of those groups. haha.

These days my preference is mostly Jason Marz-ish stuff. If I had to pick a favorite singer, it'd be Joshua Radin.

I enjoy most Pop, some R&B and older country.

I'm definitely not a fan of metal, hard rock or punk. I like more mellow music where I can sing along and actually understand the words.

I love Eminem. I also like everything from Beyonce to Tupac to Blake Shelton (The Baby...I cry every.time.I hear it) to Chaka Khan to Gladys Knight....

My Pandora list is funny....it'll go from "Hit 'em Up" by Tupac to "Just My Imagination" by The Temptations to "Poor Side of Town" by Johnny Rivers, lol

My current #1 is Kings of Leon. I LOVE them. Imagine Dragons, Green Day are among the other top bands I listen to.

Oh SClub7, I remember them. They had that one song that hit it super big for a while.

I occasionally listen to country or classic rock (only because DH is in the car, it isn't my favorite). In the car, I'm much more likely to listen to the news. At home, I'll sometimes put on background music with Pandora. That's nearly always either Christian music (a somewhat strange mix of contemporary and old hymns) or Disney music. Can't help it, I'm a HUGE sucker for Disney music.

My favorite is usually boys with guitars-Jack Johnson, Josh Radin, Eric Hutchinson... I love Michael Franti, G Love, Dispatch, Citizen Cope... I also have a soft spot for 90s country, R&B, and Queen

I can't really pin point any particular band. Lots of 70's and 80's punk and new wave. 90's grunge and riot grrrl. Nothing current at all actually. And nothing sad or sappy.

@ ashleigh- if you like queen, you should check out foxy shazam-- it's really hard not to see/hear the similarities. their stuff is really catchy, and even harvey's a big fan, believe it or not! two of their better videos:

and buda-- nothing sad *because* it's sappy, or nothing sad because of pregnancy!! because i was listening to something the other day that 1) i've heard a million times before, and 2) does not qualify as a sad song!!! it's upbeat and has an uplifting message (nothing's ever lost forever). and, then i started crying like an idiot. lol also-- you'd get along with my husband!
