I have a ton of it and really should, but I never think of it. So thanks for the reminder! Im 31 weeks and should have started already. I started earlier with the others, around 20 weeks maybe? Im not sure. I think I will make a gallon of it to keep in the fridge.

I'm planning to. I'll make big batches of it and drink it like iced tea. Once I hit 36 weeks or so, I may also take it in capsule form.

I was just thinking about this. I think I'm going to wait. I don't remember when I started with DD, maybe 34 or 35 weeks. I'm sure I've said this over and over again so sorry if I sound like a broken record, but DD was born at about 37 weeks and a few days, but she was definitely way too small (5lbs) and her ped said she looked a bit underdeveloped in places. I don't know if the tea aided in progressing things too quickly but I don't want to take the chance of it happening again. However the labor wasn't too bad and I bet the tea helped with that so I still want to do it. We're going on vacation and we get back when I'm 36 weeks so I'll probably start after we get home.

*Puts on researcher hat* I'm going to have to look into this. I knew some women took RRL tea to try and induce labor, but I didn't know people took it before they were full term. Since drinking a tea of Vitex and RRL is part of what helped me finally get pregnant in the first place, I'm definitely interested!

RRLT is supposed to help tone the uterus in preparation for delivery. I don't recall it ever giving my so much as a contraction. If you are taking it to try to start labor look elsewhere. This isn't a prostaglandin and will do nothing but maybe help make labor easier. You should actually start it at 24 weeks. EPO is the one that is good for dilating and hopefully starting labor. But it will do nothing for you, if you and baby aren't ready yet.

EPO isn't something you want to take until you are full-term right?

EPO should definitely not be started until 38 weeks! I was just mentioning it because somebody said something about using the RRLT to start labor which it doesn't.

RRL wont induce labour but tones the uterus, however, some sensitive women (or those with a history/risk of premature labour) can get contractions from it, so that is why you wanna start slow, and not immediately begin drinking it right away.

It is a big myth that is starts labour. It is something that aids the effectiveness of contractions by toning the uterus over time.

I drink it chilled with a little honey. It isnt the best tasting stuff ever...lol
