I'm about to freak. I'm at that point where I'm no longer "normal Brittany" I have morphed into crazy, emotional, irritable Brittany.

I have had a pilodonal cyst since 2009. For those who are lucky to have never heard of this it is a cyst right on your tailbone! I believe mine is from many tailbone injuries when I was younger. It comes and goes... I've never had to have it lanced or surgically removed. Usually I know what irritates it (thongs are an absolute no since it showed up 5 years ago). I haven't had a flare up for a while and boom here we are. I'm in so much pain
My doc took a look today and immediately had the receptionist call and get me an appointment for tomorrow with a general surgeon. She's convinced they will open it up and drain it. I'm freaking out. How will I work Wednesday with an open wound!? I'm not happy

Then I find out I'm measuring 36 weeks!!!! I've been about a week and a half ahead and now boom. 4 weeks ahead. I'm having a growth ultrasound on Thursday. I guess I shouldn't be so offended when people act so shocked when I say I'm only 32 weeks then ask if I'm having twins!

I have so much to do I'm officially freaked out! UGH!

Sorry so much to deal with at once! The cyst sounds really painful!! Hopefully the measuring ahead will not be from anything wrong!!

My husband had one drained a few years ago. He is an over the road trucker so he sits a lot. He said that he was good to go by the next morning and that you'll feel way better within an hour!

Oh no! I'm sorry you're in so much pain! Is it possible for you to take Weds off? I don't think it's a good idea to work with a drain in your tail bone. You'd be better off taking a day to lay on your side in bed! Best of luck, please let us know how it turns out.

Oh goodness! Will you just have a local anesthetic during the procedure? I hope it's easy and you come through it feeling ok. I can't imagine working after something like that!

And 4 weeks ahead?! Are you sure they measured right? That's a big jump!

I am guess they'll give me llidocaine. I'm laying here in tears on the couch because I need to get up because my hip is killing me but when I try and move the cyst pain is excruciating. It's never been this bad. It's black and blue this morning. I woke DH up last night at 330 because I was bawling and couldn't get up. so miserable.

I don't even care anymore I just need something done. My appointment is in 3 hours.

I hope you get relief fast! The fact that my husband actually went to the doctor is proof of how bad they actually are. That man never goes to the doctor! I can't imagine having to have one pregnant.

Thinking of you! Hopefully you'll feel better soon. And a lot of the growth measurements are inaccurate so I'd take that with a grain of salt. Next time you could go in and they'll say you're a week small.

Poor you!!!!

So, when you gals say you are measuring ahead, do you mean by sono or by tape measure/fundal height? With my last I was measuring ahead by fundal and not sono. (Lots of amniotic fluid.) With my first baby was measuring at 7 blbs and some small change but was born at 9 lbs bc they cant measure the chub! As I am going in next week for a sono to check size I am wondering what other doctors are going by for size estimates.

Worst. Pain. EVER! Holy ****.

The procedure was horrific. I was sweating so bad it was running down my face. I thought i was going to pass out!!

Now the pressure is gone but as the numbing agent wears off it is seriously on FIRE. I sobbed the whole way home.

She didn't give me antibiotics bc I'm pregnant but is keeping a close eye on it. I go back Thursday at 830 after the ultrasound. Ugh. Not good.
