Well DH and I have decided we might change baby girl's name from Adrianna Elise to...Elise something. We don't like any of the nicknames we have come up with for Adrianna and it is a mouthful for a first name. On top of it all Elise in frenc is a shortened version of Elisabeth (which was going to be my name but my parents decided to use the Z instead.) And means consecrated to God. So it has special meaning.

On top of it my husband wants to call her baby Elle (pronounced el--ee) which I really like. Problem is xoming up with a flowing middle name. I really only like two syllable middle names with Elise. Any ideas?

Love it! I love the name Elise and why didn't we think of that for our girls?? lol We almost did Elizabeth nn Ellie for our 2nd daughter, but used Elizabeth as a mn instead. The other night I had a dream about a baby named Noelle...too bad I am having a boy!

I really like Elise for a name choice. Ellie is adorable for a baby/ little kid name, and as she gets older Elise sounds so much more professional.

I like Noelle too.

...and not too late to change it at all. As a matter of fact we still have not decided on a name yet!

Its not as bad as my third child lol. He was Caleb Christopher until I was in labor on the way to the hospital and we changed him to Ethan Christopher lol. So we could be making our minds up as she is coming out lol! I am pretty sure we are going to go with Elise Noelle.

i think i remember you debating making this change a few weeks back, am i right?

i purposely had a ring engraved for myself with this one's name-- darwin drake-- to keep me from changing my mind a million more times before he arrives. and i still occasionally come up with alternate mn's and i raise an eyebrow.

point is... i feel you!

i love elise. before we knew harvey was a boy, one of our top girl's names was doralice, which is pronounced like "door-elise." i would have used the nn "leesie" (or dora-- tbh, i had a few dora names on our list!)

as for middle names... i'm not 100% sure on your style, so i'll just give you a few we were considering as mn's for doralice, since they sound so similar.

elise estelle
elise colette
elise francine
elise lenore
elise ivy <--not sure about the flow of this combo?
elise lucia <--3 syl, i know, but it sounds nice!

Cute. My best friend growing up, her name was spelt Alyse. Always been fond of the name.

We haven't decided on anything. We made a short list of Favs and will name him once he's here and we can see his face.

Ditto to both things! I really like Elise Noelle, and we haven't settled on a name either.

The latest we named a child was when he was a week old ;-) both of the names we have picked out seem to suit a brunette to me. Since we have five red head and four brunette a I'm a little nervous she might be a red head and I won't want to name her either name lol

Well we may not change her name after all. I am having a hard time not associating this baby as Adrianna and all thr kids were upset about me changing it too. So I don't know but it wont be decided 100% until she's born I have a feeling!
