Anyone else struggling getting 2,000 cals a day?

I have awful indigestion and even with six small meals a day, I am only hitting 1,400-1,500 a day. On top of that how am I supposed to get 8-10 cups of water a day and all these cals? I feel full and uncomfortable all the time and am worried I am not getting enough liquids or nutrition to the baby.

Anyone have any advice or dealing with the same thing?

I can relate with the liquids. I feel full all the time from all the food I consume, so it's hard to take in all the recommended liquid.

I need to track my calories today so I can see whether I'm hitting the mark or not. I feel like I am, but haven't really checked it...

I haven't tracked my calories but I do eat all the time to try to keep the nausea away. But what I eat sets off the horrid heartburn. I can hardly drink anything because even water makes me have heartburn. I just make sure to eat a little bit, all the time to try to get as many calories in as possible.

I am with you. I hardly eat at all. I went to the OB for Zofran. I am trying to eat, but quite unsuccessfully.

I have gallbladder issues that have been acting up pretty bad. I just eat several small things multiple times a day and stay away from fatty foods etc that will trigger gallbladder attacks.

I also drink water all day long.

I am eating more than enough ...because if I am not constantly eating, I feel REALLY sick all day long.

The problem is *what* I am eating. I am trying so darn hard to eat the healthiest food possible, but all of the things that I love to eat when I am not pregnant, are now repulsive to me. It's really tough. I love eating healthy, but I can only tolerate the most bland foods.. ugh.

I drink a lot of water to begin with, but the days I struggle with it, I make sure to have some soup or other hydrating foods.

Same here, all around! I don't calorie count, but I think I'm generally eating enough. The problem is definitely what I'm eating. Can't even stand dairy now, which was one of my big go-tos. I'm getting a ridiculous amount of carbs, but really struggling to eat enough fat and protein.

There's no way I can hit 2000. I'm
A gastric bypass girl. I'm lucky to have 1200 a day. I just eat when hungry and portion control. There's no way I'm going to pack on extra calories. Baby will take what it needs from my body anyway.

Thanks everyone! I am just over worried because I am losing weight again, but I know as a bigger mom to be that can be normal.

I'm not sure of my calorie intake, but I've lost several pounds since the gest diabetes diagnosis. My ob doesn't seem concerned. I eat when I'm hungry. My blood sugar is controlled. I'm not cutting fat or trying to diet, so I think it's ok.

As long as you are taking your prenatal vitamin too you're probably doing fine. I'd worry a little bit about the water though since the weather is getting warmer (depending on where you live). I know it takes me more than normal to stay on top of hydration because of the increasing temps and humidity in the Chicago area.
