Call your OB and ask if they'll prescribe you Tylenol+codeine for the pain! There is no reason they should just leave you to suffer.

No they really shouldn't have left you in pain like that.

Last night was rough. I called off today for work around 4pm yesterday. There's just no way. We changed the dressing last night- gross! It's still draining today. The packing has to come out at 3 then I have to take a sitz - bath for 10 minutes to clean it out. Ugh. I'm scared about the packing being pulled out. It's going to hurry like hell. I can only hope everything has drained and it doesn't start to reclose with gunk in it still! I cannot handle going through that again. I'm off tomorrow so that's a relief. It still hurts like hell when I sit a certain way or try to get out of bed (that was fun last night).

Thanks for your concern ladies. <3

Oh you poor thing I'm hoping that it isn't too painful. Can you take tylenol or anything like that to help even a little?

Yes I've been taking tylenol. It took the edge of last night. Driving is actually the worst part. If I can lay down with no pressure is pretty ok. Bending over is a no due to baby and cyst lol.

And yes- i can have surgery to remove the whole shell but it's much more invasive, has to be done when there is no inflammation and can take months to heal. Either way this disease sucks. And even with surgery, they can reoccur.

I completely missed this ... I am so sorry for what you are going through. It sounds awful. I hope that it only gets better from here on out and that your pain will go away. I would agree to calling your OB and getting a script for pain meds they approve. There is no way you should be going around in that much pain all the time.

Hugs

Oh no, I'm sorry it's so bad. I was really hoping the update would be that it wasn't as bad as you thought it would be. Are you doing any better now?
