Last night I started getting contractions 7-8 mins apart consistently started around 7:30. I then got in the bath around 9 pm and still had them, went back to the couch and they slowed to about 10 mins apart, got to bed at 10:30 and 6 mins apart even sheda few tear. I finally caught a break and fell asleep at 2am. Woke up at 545am and I am still contracting about 7 mins apart. I have no other symptoms, have not lost my plug or leaking any fluid. I had a couple rounds of this with our DS and then had him a few days later.....So should I wait and see what happens or go in? I prefer to do early labor at home but at the same time I am thinking once the contractions get closer it will progress fast which makes me nervous. ...ugh what to do.

I would call and be advised by your doc or midwife...but without losing your plug or water breaking I'd probably be inclined to labor at home until they were more like 5mins apart...unless the hospital is far away

Sounds like you're gonna have that baby soon! ..or at least that is my prediction.

I would wait to go to the hospital until your contractions are consistent and regular. Is it a very long drive to get there?

Excited for you!

exciting! Im crazy but I would wait until 3-5 minutes apart. Being in the hospital on IV sucks. THEN AGAIN - you can tell how the baby's heart is handling the contractions once you are in.....which is important.

Yea I'm with ya I'd rather be at home! I honestly think they would send me home at this point and baby is moving pretty good so doesn't concern me to much! My hubby is coming home at 1 so I can get some rest hopefully!

That's so exciting, I bet you'll have your baby soon! I would personally go based off of the timing of the contractions. I never lost my plug with DD or had my water break til I was well into labor.

They are only here and there now but all night they were 30-45 secs in duration. I had a very short transition phase last time so once I get the feeling like it's go time I'll go.

I think what I'm experiencing and is exactly what happened last pregnancy is prodromal labor.

Trust your instincts. The worst that could happen is its early labor and you go back home for a while. I have been having a lot of contractions too... but knowing my body, I know they aren't the real deal for me.

If you aren't sure, it never hurts to go be checked out!

Still just having them here and there, my hubby is home and DS is napping so I took one of our dogs for a walk. Got back and had what I think was a little bit of the mucus plug come out but no other changes...just waiting!

Eeeeek! So excited for you.... I wouldn't know what to do... sounds promising.. but as long as you are ok at home.. might as well wait a bit.

Hopefully, you can get some rest before the main event

So far no baby, still contracting but not close enough together and I was able to get a decent amount of sleep last night...I think i was exhausted from the night before! Maybe I'll go get a pedicure, just trying to keep myself occupied I'm sure baby will make it known when it is for real!

Glad you were able to get some sleep last night. I am sure you will know when it is the real deal! But sounds like it won't be too long now, your body is obviously very busy preparing
