I'm with your friends. I believe in everything in moderation. If you're a fan of the raw stuff, just make sure you pick a reputable place is all. I've had sushi a few times this pregnancy

I stick to cooked kinds usually...cali rolls and shrimp tempura, things like that. Everything we eat has risks associated with it, go with what you are comfortable.

I only like the sashimi, and I did have that early in the pregnancy. I would eat it again. I don't like the rolls, etc.

Yayyy, I'm so happy to hear I can eat sushi as long as I go to a reputable place I have been sticking to cooked rolls and whatnot so far (I'm more of a tempura girl anyway), but sometimes the spicy salmon ones are really hard to pass up.

I don't eat anything raw, even though in Japan pregnant women do and are fine. I stick to California rolls mostly, so at least I'm getting my sushi fix to some degree but am not chancing getting food poisoning.

I don't like sushi at all but my midwife told me that it is now thought of as perfectly fine in moderation as long as it is fresh and from a reputable place.
